Why we exist

Most UK businesses are paying too much for gas and electricity — not because they've picked the wrong tariff, but because renewing is fiddly and easy to postpone. We started Energy Tariff to fix that: a single point of contact, live prices from a UK supplier panel, and end-to-end switching that takes minutes to trigger and weeks to complete without any disruption.

What makes us different

• Independent. We work for the business, not the supplier. Our panel is broad and we're transparent about which suppliers pay us commission (all of them — see "How we're paid" below).
• UK-based. Our team is in Glasgow — real people you can phone, weekdays 9-6.
• Straightforward. No pressure, no jargon, no five-minute callbacks. If the prices don't beat what you have, we say so.

How we're paid

Energy Tariff is a third-party intermediary (TPI) / energy broker. We are paid a commission by the supplier you choose to switch to. That commission is included within the unit rate of the contract you sign — it is not an extra fee charged to you — and it is disclosed to you before you sign anything. If you don't switch, we don't get paid. Our service is free to use and there is no obligation to proceed with any quote we provide.

Who we are not

• We are not an energy supplier. We do not generate or supply gas or electricity, and we are not party to the contract you ultimately sign — that contract is between you and the supplier.
• We are not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
• Business energy contracts are not covered by the domestic Ofgem price protections (such as the energy price cap) that apply to household customers — commercial contracts are individually negotiated and priced.
